The CD Robi set is an easy-to-use tool that lets pupils, students and teachers introduce robotics and control technology in teaching process. Designed to encourage content creation, it allows pupils or students to assemble and control small robot, CD Robi.
The set enables groups of 2-3 students to build and program real life robotics solutions with programmable CD Robi interface, motors, sensors, connecting cables, and building instructions. The set includes a complete cross-roads with four traffic lights, a wide variety of additional building elements, as well as a beacon tower and a washing machine.
Getting started in the classroom, the set CD provides eight main projects, video clips, worksheets and extensive teacher introduction materials. Educational software is powered by Microsoft® Robotics Studio© (version 1.5) and Microsoft Visual Basic©. The software pack includes a digital manual.
Programmable 32-bit CD Robi micro-controler uses an USB port for communication with PC. The IR link enables you to drive CD Robi by a mobile phone or a TV set commander. Two commands are predefined; there are 2 input ports, 8 output ports with 8 LED’s on board. Four AA batteries are required for running.
More than 350 CD Robi sets have been sold so far. The same number of teachers has been trained to handle, set up and program the CD Robi set in the Accredit Course aprroved by the Ministry of Education.
CD Robi set is awarded with silver medal at Tesla Fest 2007 in Novi Sad, Serbia. Approved by the Ministry of Education no. 650-02-00209/2007-06, the CD Robi set can be used as an educational tool in schools.
